• Time and a Half

  
  

  I found myself in Chicagoland this past weekend doing my thing to bring some furry joy to a parade of infants, toddlers, and big kids at heart. Chicago, as I have deduced, has the largest white-couple-with-adopted-Asian-girl families per capita in the United States. In a span of 16 hours over two days, I had easily had encounters with half a dozen of such families. There was also a large number of Asian male/White female couples as well. One of which had absolutely the most beautiful little boy you can ever ever ever see!! The only thing that stopped me from asking for custody of him were the security guards all around.

  
  

  The Chicago nightlife scene leaves something to be desired. Saturday night is league night at the bowling alley (compared to Tuesdays in NY) and the bar/club turned on it's Get-your-ass-out-of-here-lights at 2:45 am. Good thing they did though, it was hard enough getting up for a 9:00 am event on Sunday as it was. If I stayed out any later, I would have been summarily terminated. =P

  
  

  Don't even bother asking about the delayed inbound and outbound flights. Spending a combined extra 5+ hours sitting at the gates is not my idea of worthwhile downtime. My Laptop/DVD player finally paid off!

  
  

  I look forward to early nights to bed this week (yeah right) and good food not prepared and served in a food court. I will miss walking around my hotel room naked all night though.
