Worst. Cat. Ever.
You're fired!
10 years....
Tonight I will be attending my 10 year high school reunion. *sigh*
The class of '97 was a motley crew of 36 fine young men and women, one of which turned out to be the man you see before you. A decade of experiences since has shown me that the world is and isn't as it had seemed back then. What was cool then isn't quite so much now. I would like to think that my fashion sense has developed for the better. My eyes have degenerated much, my stomach is a tad bit rotunder, and my hair is a touch greyer. It will be fun to see who everyone has developed into in the last ten years.
In my attempts to find before and after pictures to post, I realized that digital cameras weren't around until college. Cripes that made me feel old. These days i can find cameras on phones, laptops, stoves, and Kleenex boxes. The days of yore are truly gone. No more making mixtapes to listen to on our Sony Walkmans. New movies released on VHS automatically cost $99 so we HAD to rent from video stores. TiVo-who?. Reports were researched in libraries on encyclopedias and written by hand. Massive Multiplayer Games were called basketball and freeze tag, instead of Warcraft and Halo. There was a chance in all our minds that OJ was innocent while in the back of the Bronco. You wanted your kids to hang out with Michael Jackson. Beepers and Lisa Page were king. We "bought" music videos on The Box. Fashion meant Bear jackets and Pele Pele jeans. And when we weren't eating or sleeping we were playing Street Fighter or NBA Live on Super Nintendo.
Fond memories of days gone by.
